This is another chapter in the on going saga of my obsession with Carburetors!
I have a Rochester 4GC off an old 283 that looks like a perfectly good carb, my dad was partial to them, CarbKing says they are good, and I'm thinking about trying it on my 250. So, here's my question; with it just sitting on the bench, even though it is fairly cold out, the choke is wide open and does not close unless I physically take hold of it and close it. As soon as I let go it opens back up. Shouldn't it be closed until warmed by hot air? I am wondering what's up with this?
