I bought repro cylinders for the front on my 1 Ton. When I put a lot of force on the brake pedal, the thread gave way on one side. The new ones had a lot of clearance between the male thread and the outside cap and so it failed under a lot of force. I ended up using the caps and center piece from my old ones.
