Something else to give some thought to is adding an HEI setup to the engine.. I did. Faster starts, Increased fuel mileage and also better low speed throttle response. But use 8 mm wire and gap the plugs at .045 or a little more and use a plug with a Platinum electrode. Just what it did for me on my stove bolt.
