Changing the rear axle end oil seals on a '46 Chevy 1/2 ton and was wondering if I'm putting them in right since the Timken ones I got don't look anything like the old ones, especially since the old ones are pretty wasted. I was thinking the the side of the seal that has the rubber flush with the metal goes to the outside. Is this right?
