I think what you need is a spanner. If what you are talking about is what I think, what you need is a tool that will apply pressure equally on bothe side of the nut. You need a basically open end wrench with tabs to grab the lugs on the nut or ring. You can make one easily enough even with out fancy equipment. A piece of flat stock with a drill with a hole cutter a file and time you can make what you want, Just my two bits worth, Jimmie.
