Hello, all. It's been a while, but I am FINALLY getting to work or restoring my 55 Series 2 Chevy pickup. I've got the chassis dipped and primered and now I'm ready to start looking for a front end.
We're not doing an original restore, we're hot rodding it and I've heard that the Mustang II front ends work really well.
I've seen a ton of them on the market, ranging from $1700 up to $3000. I want it to look nice since I'm doing a ground up restore, but I don't know how much I really have to spend and who is known for quality work. I'm not looking for all chrome, just something that will handle nice and won't break the bank.
Also, do they have to be welded in, or is there a good bolt on? I am NOT a mechanic, but something tells me I'll become one as I get further along.
I should probably also mention that I've bought a 350 crate motor for the truck.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Chris
