No matter how good the filtration is, I would still change the oil fairly often on these old beasts with their carbureted systems. Unless they are running very well tuned, and probably even then, there is fuel dilution/contamination. Not so much with newer computer controlled, injected systems. I say this, yet I didn't get around to hooking up my bypass filter for a year after doing some maintenance.
