I have a 1949 one ton flatbed that my Grandpa bought from the creamery where he used to work way back when. The truck was passed onto my uncle who then gave it to my dad to park in his yard and when I was finally old enough to drive I wanted to buy it from my uncle. He was nice enough to just hand it over to me and all I had to pay for was the title transfer fee. I drove it in high school but then it sat while I was going through college and starting my career. I've been lucky enough to move back to Idaho and have a little time and a little money to now put into restoring the old work truck. I've been keeping a blog of the whole process
The Old 49. All that I've really done so far is tear it apart but I'm at the point now where I finally get to start putting things back together slowly as I can afford it. I have loved all the information I've gotten from this site as it has been very useful so far. I'll have more questions of course and I look forward to tapping the expert knowledge that is here.
