the exhaust manifold casting# is 3835587 which according to the Hollanders is correct. the intake manifold is 3754844 which I can't find in the Hollanders.
the pivot lever for the accelerator linkage is in the forward boss which I am told is correct and the rod from the gas pedal fits perfect.
the lever itself is actually too wide. and the pivot hole was too small for the stud.
the rod from the lever to the carb was an inch too long otherwise it fit perfect.
the whole lever assembly when all hooked up is almost in the way of where the exhaust pipe connects to the manifold. I'm hoping that a good exhaust guy can make it fit ok.
I'm wondering why would the pivot lever be that much different. my old 216 lever fits on the stud perfect but is not the correct shape.
the lever I have is from a 54 truck. the intake manifold is a puzzle. what is it supposed to be? maybe they didn't list every # in the Hollanders?
one way or another i'll get everything to work.
any thoughts?
