I've been pondering the distributor wiring on my old 59 and I wanted to get a second opinion.
There's a wiring harness that comes down to the starter.
The purple wire goes to the side of the starter for the resistor bypass feature.
The heavy gauge black wire goes to the starter/battery lug.
The green wire goes to the +ve of the ignition coil.
Then there's the black points wire which
I think goes to the -ve of the coil.
I consulted
this manual page but there are no color codes in the diagram.
So, have I got these wires figured out correctly?
