You have to think about what you want and where you get it. Some of the t5's have the shifter a little farther forward than others. Some out of the S10's fit but hard to find. If I were wanting the latest technology yeah I'd go for a T5. But there are still lots of the old muncies out there from the old GM muscle cars available without the low granny 1st gear. I just did a craigslist search last night and found 4. Just got to figure which you want and how much time and money you want to spend.
I don't expect everyone will want to do their truck the same as mine but there are lots of ways to do it. Larry
