For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 12 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 12 | Hi. I'm putting a Gmc 302 into my 52 GMC 9300. It's a Canadian truck, so it apparently has a Chevy frame and came with a 216. I've put in a Chassis Engineering bolt-in mustang 2 ifs. I was putting the engine between the frame rails this Saturday and when I use the original front engine mounts, the oil pan interferes with my steering rack. I'm afraid that if I move the engine backwards it will interfere with the firewall. Can I relocate the steering rack or what are my options? Thanks for any input. If I could figure out how to post a pic I would.
