I know the number 1 cylinder on my 230 had a "bump" in the front of the cylinder wall. We figured it was caused by someone trying to install to long of a bolt in the water pump at so time. Anyway my uncle used a ridge reamer and cut the bump out and the engine was reassembled. Still running good yet today.
