When I had bought my 63 c10 it was all original except the master cylinder was changed out to a duel line.I bought an original single line to put back on it and here is the problom I am having.I changed the brake lines to fit the single line MC. bench bled the MC. and bolted it up and after the vacuum bleeding the brakes the pedal is still going to the floor.I pulled the MC to inspect it and what is happening is the brake pedal linkage rod when fully depressed is not even touching the MC piston .The linkage rod will have to fit an 1 and 1/2 inches into the MC.piston before it will even make contact. The linkage rod only extends an inch outside the fire wall when fully depressed. That is with the linkage rod adjusted all the way out.I bought the MC from Advanced Auto and it is a Recon .Is the brake linkage rod suppose to go that far into the M.C?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
