Anybody rebuilt a rear transmission mount lately? The rubber in mine was all rotten. So I cut it apart, to bolt in new rubber as per old threads, expecting simple rivets. Instead the rivets themselves and the holes in the upper bracket and lower retaining plate were 3/16, but the rivets went through larger bushings (1/2"?) and the holes in the main plate are even larger, and not round. It must have been all vulcanized together.
So will it work just bolting in the two flat rubber pads with 3/16" bolts? Anyone use bushings or rubber washers on the inside? It seems without something there it will be hard to center and a lot of wiggle room side to side.
