Way to go guys, I have some kind of Flu bug which keeps me from going out. Dang this is the coolest weather we have had in Florida for 22 years and before that 34 years ago. I did manage to go out and set the fuel adjustment screw and idle screw. The old fellow is finally idling good. Kathryn will not let me go out or do anything but, she had to go to the store. It was 64 degrees and I had warm clothes on. Only took about 15 min. However I left the old yeller feller out and she noticed. It is idling great. Waiting for her to come into the house. May be you will not hear from me again. That is what I got done on my bolt today. By The Way Shaffer's 1950, you did the right thing on your bed. I spent too much on my oak bed. All I ever did was put linseed oil on my black painted bed for 30 years. It looked great, however the guy that restored the body left my bed outside and it began to rot near the tail end of the bed. In stead of repairing a small amount of damage I put a new oak bed in (painted black) like the original. I wish I would have done what you did. Just watch it and put a little linseed oil on every year or so. Your grand children will never know the difference. Doc.

Over the last couple weeks i was able to get the exterior and interior of the cab and doors painted. Was getting tired of looking at gray primer.
I like the frame you used to hang the doors, I will definitely steal that idea.

Looks nicely done! Nice work! I too will steal that door hanger/stand idea - that works well as the doors are amazingly awkward.
You obviously hit all edges on/in/around the doors so they look great. It looks like this truck will have exposed hinges. How are you painting those - just separately and then assemble? Chipping concerns me with those, especially if they have the pin/bushing.
Thanks for the good words guys. Be my guest using the door stand. It was made from scrap in the shop. I made it so I could paint the inside of the door without the freshly painted outside laying on a saw horse. It worked. In answer to the hinge chip question, they are not exposed hinges. when the doors are shut you won't see them. (The truck is a 48. )

We had a bit of a mix up with a few threads in GTT. Has been straightened out as best we can. One thread was sent into the cyber black hole. But, we didn't lose everything.
This thread will stay locked but will not self-destruct. UBB has been thwarted (as best as we can thwart ).
UPDATE: This thread was was originally titled "Who uses their truck" and was mistakenly combined with "What did you get done on your "Bolt" today" It was locked and the posts from 2021 and later moved to new threads with the appropriate titles. What did you get done on your Bolt today 2021 and later and Who uses their truck as a truck? - 2021 and later This thread contains both posts on both topics and has been kept as reference with the current title. No more posts can be made here. Use the newer threads.
