I recently obtained a 1950 Chevy Suburban that had been sitting for 50 years. It has an interesting story, and I plan on building it up over the coming months (and probably years). As part of the project, I'll be doing a chassis and motor swap. The body is now off, and I need to find a new home for the chassis and motor. The motor is a 216 and still turns over by hand, but I couldn't tell you anything about what's under the covers or when the last time it actually ran was. Ditto for the transmission. There are also some additional parts for the motor that aren't shown. I live just north of Austin, TX.
$100 if you come and get them.

Welcome to Stovebolt! Since your new, I'm going to guess you may not have paid attention to the Swap Meet Guidelines as they require you to post an asking price, unless you are offering this as a "Freebie", in which case the ad needs to get moved to the correct forum for that. Please go read that post and this added guidelines and tips post.
Then please come back quickly and edit your ad to include the required "asking price", or per our guidelines I will be required to remove the ad.
Best Regards,
Dan - Gdads51 (Swap Meet Mod)

Thank you Sir for the price update! A very kind and generous price.
Just an FYI that from your pictures it looks like your chassis is actually an earlier one as it still has the 1949 and earlier lever action original shocks (disconnected) with added on tube type later shocks. The engine serial number doesn't correspond to anything I can currently see in my resource documents, but certainly looks like a 216. Whoever gets it will need to delve in a bit more to find out the nitty gritty details.
Best of luck with finding it a new home!

Thanks, Dan. Is there a way to contact you directly without having a reply that's a permanent part of this thread? I guess since I'm new I'm not allowed to send private messages.
I would like to get this rolling chassis from you, but too far from Columbia, MO ;( However, I would buy the mounting brackets for the panel body if you would sell them separate and ship them.
Photo showing two of the four brackets (these two and the same ones on the other side of the frame) I am referring to:

If you get 1 more Moderator approved post under your belt, you'll have passed the moderation process and the next post will not require approval, and you can then use the PM process to send me a message.
Sorry it's taken me a bit to get back here. I was at the 58th Annual Ozark Antique Auto Club Swap Meet in Springfield, MO and was unable to get into the forums with my phone due to signal issues.

Dang it first and secondly Welcome Aboard! My first thought was “man I’d like to have that anti-sway bar assembly off the front. But I agree with your point about keeping it together,
