By the way... save the old tranny. There are probably good gears there that are getting scarcer by the day.

@GregBoston
I don't know if you ever got the right clutch alignment tool. I never did find mine, but today was looking at the Dorman 14522 and actually tried to contact Dorman about the pilot size. The e-mail to their tech support didn't go thru. I left a message on their support number (closed for the day). The Oreilly website said my local said they had one in stock, so I got my digital caliper and went down there. It turns out they didn't have one, but the kid behind the counter started digging and came up with a Pioneer TAT-5301. It said it was 9/16" pilot, with 10 splines and 1-1/8" OD. It measured 0.58, a few thousandths bigger than 9/16", on the pilot stub I bought it and it fit perfectly. Dorman just needs to get their s### together and publish the full specs. They lost out on a sale.

Anyway, hope that helps you. Now that I've bought another one to replace the missing one, it will turn up. wink But it was only $10. and I can get my clutch and tranny installed.

If you're smart enough to take it apart, you darn well better be smart enough to put it back together.
