I thought I would post my route to Townsend, I'm hoping that others will do the same. If you're coming to Townsend and would like some company just post your route, might be another Bolter is heading that way too.
I'm leaving Brunswick on Wednesday morning, heading up I-95 North to I-26 West. From there I'll take I-26 West to I-40 West and Maggie Valley, stopping there for the night. Thursday morning I'll meet our group at the "Buttered Biscuit " for breakfast. Then back on I-40 West to the Smoky Mountain Parkway, PaPa Joe is usually in the lead. From there through Pigeon Forge and into Townsend.

I am in Statesville, NC. Will head out early Thursday morning on I-40 West to Maggie Valley and meet the group at the Buttered Biscuit. After breakfast back on I-40 to the Smoky Mountain Parkway and a scenic leisurely drive to Townsend.
Vicki I are heading out Wednesday from mid Missouri, via I-70, stop in St.Louis for lunch with an old High School buddy. Then south on I-55 to Cape Girardeau, cross the Mississippi to Paducah or Clarksville Ky to spend the night. Then on south east around Nashville east on I-40 to Townsend on some back roads. Should be at the show grounds mid afternoon Thursday? The 46 will be on the trailer and road worthy at 40 MPH. Maybe?

Dad and I will leave Michigan early Thursday morning. Head South on some backroads/state highways past Defiance, OH and eventually pick up I-75 at Lima, OH. Continue South down through Dayton, Cincinnati, Lexington, and then meet up with the "Southbound & Down" group at the Buc-ees in Richmond, KY.....refuel, stock up on beef jerky, snacks, adult sodas.....then the caravan continues South on I-75 down to Knoxville where we cut down/over through Maryville on our way to the Promised Land of Townsend, TN.
I'll be leaving home about noon on Thursday, driving US highway 64 from near the Alabama state line and I-65 to I-24 at Monteagle mountain, I-24 to Chattanooga to pick up an item for Don King to transport to a bolter in Missouri, then up I-75 to Maryville Tennessee. Overnight in Maryville (out of the tourist trap high dollar motel zone) and on to Townsend Friday morning. I might stay overnight somewhere in Townsend, or maybe not. Jerry

They say you can't get there from here but I'm going to prove them wrong. Thursday morning, Interstate 64 West to 81 South. Regretfully not driving my truck this year.

I'm not bringing a Truck either (Sorry Archie..maybe next year :D), not only that but I don't have an AD in the fleet. We may need to see about that in the future , please don't tell my Linda that.

Craig, Boy Do I Have a Deal For You!! I have two AD’s that need a new home.
We’ll have the new to us 46 if anyone needs to drive something. I know John will want to take it for a spin. John will also have Charlie and may be looking for a passenger?

We’ll leave east central Florida via a combination of US 1 & I 95 on Tuesday AM , stop overnight in South Ga/ Brunswick area, Weds head over to Atlanta via I 16 & whatever route the gps uses to get us to our grand daughters house, then Thursday on to Townsend via I 75 , 575, 515, US 129 over Deals Gap to the Foothills Parkway & the motel. The 66 C10 does interstate but I feel more comfortable on the road less traveled, so the Interstate travel might get changed to State roads. We’ll see how my co-pilot feels as trip progresses. We just sold a second home of 19 yrs near where 129 turns off to go thru Robbinsville NC. We love that southern Great Smoky Mtn area.
