From your picture of the bed, looks like you only need 6 bed strips. The LMC Truck catalog shows a 7 piece set for just $79.95 See Part# 38-7255 if you are going for the paintable strips like Crummy. You can see their other offerings if you want something different on that page.

Did you re-purchase those items from another vendor? I used a rear window and windshield rubber from them. I did have problems with the installation of the stainless strip between the windshield but eventually got it to go. Not sure if another vendor, would supply something different. I feel they often get items from the same sources to offer for retail. JMOO

R&S, if you haven't already, you might want to check out Jeff's (Crummy) Project Journal. He's got a lot of details on his 1951 restoration.
AAMOF, here's what we posted in the intro: "Note: Jeff started his story in the DITY Gallery and soon enough, and sure enough, he had enough details on his build, that we invited him to roll over to the Project Journal special lot. He has not disappointed, that's for sure. Thanks to you Jeff, many will benefit from this thread and these great images. (And thanks for answering the questions that folks have asked." )

Peggy, thankyou for the information. Ive been gone a long time and we've done a few things to our 51. My husband is definitely not doing a total restoration. He's just doing a "get it down the road" fix up. I have to say, he's doing a nice job of making it his own. I will post some up to date pictures. I guess I need to do some adjustments to my photos to be able to upload them. I will post them soon.
