Just introducing myself. I always wanted an old truck and a restoration project in retirement so about 5 years ago at a swap meet I came accross this '54 3600 stakebed. I was hesitant to buy it since retirement wasn't that close but my wife bullied me into it! thumbs_up She's a good one! Anyway, I recently started the journey so I'm sure I'll be showing up more Cheers!

Tom

Tom, Welcome to the Stovebolt. your join many other bolters from NY and others always close by. Congrats on you Stakebed and look forward to your restoration. Just ask questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest. Just 15 minutes a day will accomplish much.

Three cheers for your wife encouraging you to get the truck! I'm pretty new and there is lots of information here. I look through the Tech section all the time. Welcome!

Welcome new guy 😁. Wow, you were bullied into buying an old truck? How cool is that? Can you post some photos?

Ya, forget waiting till you retire. You need to get stuff like this when you're young enough to enjoy it. It's later than you think.

Welcome to the ‘Bolt! Sounds like a nice truck! We would love it, if you could tell us a bit about your truck, its history and your goals restoring your truck.

And of course we bolters love pictures so include a few. Here’s a link to instructions on how to add pictures to a post.

What part of NY are you from? I’m a little over an hour north west of Albany in the Adirondack Park.

Again, welcome to. the ‘Bolt!
