We are putting new glass in our 51 gmc 100 truck.
I made the mistake of ordering a kit for the window felts and all those other pieces. They don't fit right at all.
I've tried classic part and old chevy.
My problem is the names of the pieces and where they go.
Anyone have a good diagram and piece names?

Do you have an LMC Truck catalog? If not, go to their website.

They have diagrams with all of the parts and their location on the truck with the proper name.

Otto, He has a '51 that has vent windows. LMC doesn't even show vent windows.

Try the Filling Station. They also have a good video on restoring the vent windows. You'll need felt channel that fits on the top and rear portion, and another narrower felt channel that goes in the division bar and supports the front of the main window. I think the video has their part number information.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6o2KEETyxY&t=72s and www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xEZFaa_ivY cover vent window restoration, and www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpqUzZjAZL8 covers installing all the stuff in the doors.

Did you mean LMC or The Filling Station? I''ve had good luck with stuff from the latter. Used their parts for vent window rebuild and door run channel. Although the parking brake cable boots and tie rod end boots i got from them weren't up to snuff.

I got my parts to restore my vent windows from Classic Parts and they were good. I bought their parking brake boots, and they were not good. I also bought boots from Chevs of the Forty’s and they look exactly the same.

I finally checked out their stuff.
The felt kit is on back order.
The door weather rubber kits are spendy compared to the crappy ones I bought at LMC.
I know if I want quality, I'm going to have to put up some good cash.
Hubby just got himself a new project.
It's not going to take him long. It's a short fix up.
He went from a chevy 1500 HD gas to a Ford f350 turbo diesel.
Better for his towing.
After he gets his few things done on it, we should be getting back to the better truck. 🤣🤣🤣
