1947 Chevrolet 3800 1-ton long bed

I bought this truck 2019 in USA / Texas

The truck was rebuilt in 2014 from stovebolt member Dave Chapman.

- 292cui engine

- AC

- front and rear disc brakes

- GM 14 bolt rear end

- power steering

.....

I´ve made some mechanical and electrical changes.

Sven,

A very nice looking 1-ton sir! thumbs_up

Very sure everyone has to stop and look and ask about your truck. wink

I like your solution for keeping track of your speed in KPH (little markers on the speedometer dial).

Very neat way to help you remember just "how fast am I going?" - haha! dang

Thanks for sharing! chug

Hi Dan,

in Germany you have to add the km/h stickers to a mph speedo. If you don´t have them you will not get your license to drive the car on the road...

Thank you Peggy,

I know every thread from "Thoroco"......here and in other sites... I made research about all the parts who where built into the truck.... the owner didi not know very much about the technical modifications.

It seems that Dave was a verey helpful and friendly person.

It´s sad to see how much knowledge will lost and a lifework will be forgotten when someone pass away without having family who share the passion or continue / honor their life work....
