In the beginning ~

This is my '40 Canopy Express. There were only 528 made, as compared to 52,174 1940 1/2-ton pickups. It is in storage right now. It may be a retirement project in 20 or 30 years, but hopefully will get done sooner. The frame is sandblasted and painted right now. I bought it in Center Point, Iowa. It originally came from Jefferson City, MO.

Barry was our "first contact" with the Stovebolt world. You'll see him all over this site -- Tech Tips, Features, IRWIPI. Barry was our first moderator in the forums. We were collectively responsible for half of his gray hairs :) Plus, he's got his own "web "presence" here. He's a huge help to Stovebolters far and wide! Barry and Kathy are Stovebolters First Class!.

A few of his Bolts he has listed here are his 1940 Chevy 1/2-ton and 1948 Chevy 1/2-ton. ~~ Editor
