From Rex :

Here's a couple new pics of my fleet. [ Image ] One is with my daily driver, a 77 3/4-ton Chevy.

I've got a chrome front bumper and grille for the 1965 Fleetside. The heater didn't work so I changed the fan motor and it still didn't work. So I think it might be the heater switch.

I would like to paint behind the grille when I change it, but the temps been in the teens here lately so I haven't done much. It would be sweet to have a heated shop. I would get alot more done.

When taking these pictures [ Image ], my family and friends thought I was crazy for getting on top of my garage. I thought it would be a cool picture of all the trucks together. Plus, I wanted to see how big of a garage I really need.

Just a note to Jeremiah from Ohio -- I think we may have met at one time. That is a cool four door. Can't wait to see it finished.

There's alot of good lookin' trucks on this site. Maybe I'll have a nice one, one of these days.

Thanks again,

Rex James

From Rex :

Hello Stovebolt. This is my 1965 Chevy 1/2-ton LWB Fleetside, 2 wheel drive, Inline 6, three on the tree. I just bought it a few months ago. It sat for awhile so it needed the tank cleaned and sealed, new fuel pump, new carb, and a tune up.

I'm going to keep it mostly original. The plan is chrome bumpers, wide whitewalls, maybe a couple inches lower, and a '60 or '61 hood and grille. Still searching for the grille.

This is one of my three mid-sixty Chevy trucks. I also have a 1966 Chevy 1-ton Panel and a 1966 Chevy 3/4-ton 4 WD Stepside.

Thanks again,

Rex "Old Truck Dude" James

In August 2007, the Old Truck Dude submitted a fine Ohio truck ... a 1964 Chevy 1/2-Ton Pickup Truck. That makes four! ~~ Editor
