From Gray:

Hello and thanks for your site!

Here are a few pics of my '54. It began life in Canada -- note the dash. Came to me thru eBay. The previous owner had completed the body work and installed it on a '78 Jimmy chassis (GMC from the ground up). He drove it for about two years and then tired of it.

I lifted it an additional two inches, added the winch, which was previously on my '55 1/2-ton GMC (see "chick magnet"), changed the upholstery, rebuilt the trans, redid the heads, and spent many $$$ on what was supposed to be a finished truck.

Yes, the grille surround is incorrect but this is a modified truck.

I have owned and driven this truck for 2-1/2 years, but it is a bit too shiney for me, so it is time to start something else.

Thanks again,
Gray Carlson
