I want my truck to be as correctly original as possible. When I paint my new wheels (which I purchased from Tony- this is a plug for him) should they be the color of the body or white like the bumpers and grille? and should my exterior mirror be black as it is now or white?

I found this information for the 1966 Chevrolet C10-C30 trucks. It probably is the same for the 1965 models as well.

All solid color and the Black/Off-White 2-tone combinations have black rims. All other 2-tones have rims painted the main body color.

Sport mirror arms are the body color and the round sport mirror heads are black. Doug57 is correct on the excerpt from the Truck Sales Data Book, regarding the wheel colors.

Thanks Doug and Tony. So if I understand correctly, my solid color turquoise truck will have white bumpers and grille, black rims, black mirror head and turquoise mirror arm?

Based on a few Q's you've posted, you need to check my photobucket page for reference, as it sounds like your truck closely matches mine. My 66 C-10 is all original, unrestored with 9000 actual miles.
