My 1951 chevy truck did not come with lower door seal reatiners and I'm now putting in. Can anyone help with a picture as to how to install them?

Thank you!

I am close to putting my weatherstipping on my doors to. In fact I should just go ahead and do it and another box would be off my workbench.....
But, I have a question. I checked out a 51 one ton truck Saturday that had new weatherstripping installed and after looking at it and at Denny's picture why can't the rubber be 45'd at the corner like a piece of moulding instead of the "half twist"?????
Denny, I know the factory OEM way works good but I just ask crazy questions sometimes. Now, Why wouldn't a 45 corner work??
Looks like it would maybe make the door close just a tat easier?

Nothing better to do tonight than harass the stovebolters smile

the Only drawback I can forsee in doin the 45 cut Alvin would be that instead of one continuos pc. of strip now ya have 3 and even the best glue will fail over time and I would think at the 45 cut would be the first ????
Just tossin things round the Ol Brain Bucket this mornin.

mmmm, maybe your right Tim... but then you know me. I'd probably try to start on the corner and end up on the corner cutting the corner kind of like overlapping carpet and cutting it.
That way I'd have one continuous piece....and could glue it back in the same place each time smile

I've been busy with other things but hopefully after 15 more days of school I can get some SERIOUS work going. Then I'll catch everyone up on my updates.

Thanks for all the input.

Good photo, I'm almost at that point too, I think I'll not cut my rubber but twist it as the photo shows.

I have done both of my trucks & didn't cut either of them & they turned out great. Just my two cents.....
