Bought the truck in 1973 from a buddys dad gave 112.00 for it .,,over the years i replaced ever thing but but the cab bed an one rear fender one rear bumper .redone the 235 two times valves where so thin from being ground so much one could shave with one ,found a new head stll in the box with valves in head ..for $25.00guy was going to put it on his 60 235 but sold the truck ,put headers on the 235with footlong long glass packs ,what a sweet sound ,drove 180 miles to a truck show at top speed of 55 out came the 235. had the frame cliped
with a 79 Pontac put the 301 along with the t/w p/b a/t and rear end 301 back to the truck show next year 301was a dog .out it came and a 400 out of a 73 caprice went in, few more years, out it came, Kyle Walker a buddy and i had the 400 bored out 30 and flat tops, balance, isky cam,350 heads with some port work,Eldbrock intake &carb,headres,shift kit,made a cover for the bed ,seat out of a late model chevy truck,custom dash inseart ,original radio i found in a one ton ,works by braking off the glass part of a tube and looping two transistors over and soredering them to the base to do what the origina tube did my ex brother-in law did that .origina rear bumper off a bed some one cut up for a trailer , Plymouth side marker lights in bed, upside down tail gate ,custom l.e.d.tail lights
