Stranger asked me to post this for him. I would imagine you guys in the Big Bolts forum saw this in November when it first appeared in the Gallery.

Frank wanted a "link back" to the forums so that he could participate in the public chatter about the truck. He's already had some email exchanges and I think this "forum" works better.

Here's the full story. Frank is good at detail. Another saved from the crusher.

Nice truck Frank. Looks identical to mine. Mine has the 270 6cyl. I had posted a question about the hoods on those trucks. I notice yours has a space ... like its not closed all the way. Mine is the same way. Is this a common problem or just a minor adjustment?

Old GMC Gold . The hoods look like that whe they are not latched the whole way. Mine looked like that and I had to play around with the latches to get them working correctly.

Thanks for the info. When I get started on the body, I think I will remove the latches and try getting it to close correctly first.
I think mine only has one latch that actually "latches". Its on the drivers side. The other one just looks like a "guide" without a latching mechanism.
