Hey folks,
I'm trying to get some experience here on the forums and I've got a '61 for this thread so I thought I'd get it up here and see what you folks have to say.

There she is! Mechanically she is pretty much sound. If all goes according to plan over my ownership I've got a lot I'm planning on still doing. The doors don't shut great so I'd like to get new locks and hinges and maybe even electric ones with a fob. I want to lift at at least 2" so the tires get more clearance from the fenders and eventually see what could or couldn't be done about making it 4x4. It's already got a stereo with a sub but I'd like to get some dynamat or fatmat all in there to quiet it down both inside and out. For paint I want to go bright white with black trim for a storm trooper kind of look with some dark tint. Someday a bigger engine whether that be something new or old or even diesel remains to be seen.

Any one else have ideas?

Nice! Four door(crew cab) early trucks are hard to find and that one looks to be in particularly good condition. I happen to like a stock look, but it's your truck, your ideas. Just keep reading the various forums that might apply to you for more insight. Place a topic in the search box and you'll get some returns.

If you think its ugly I'll take it! I think it looks great just the way it is! Nice rig!

Best wishes,

Thanks! I think I just broke a tie rod end yesterday... Theres a significant pull to the right in the steering and the brake pedal only goes down about half way and has become quite stiff. Any thoughts?

Thanks Ron, It turned out it was a broken spindle and some bearing issue. Ended up being pretty pricey:/
