1952 3600 Pickup

The ad calls it a 54, but it is not. One picture shows part of the serial number tag and it’s black, so 52. Right? Interesting custom dash/ gauges. The 50 I bought in 2003 was not much better. Too bad there’s no title.

That's a steal, fer shure, Frank. But you are way off on the year. Look at the tail gate -- obviously the truck is a '74.

I think the 1954 dash-gauges threw him off?

Also, looks like it has the optional large/round back-up camera-display housing to the right of the "standard" gauges (6v, and, only available in 54/55st)?

The seller revised the item title to read "1952 Chevrolet Pickup..."

That is more likely to be correct?

The rusty painted grille is really straight. So many are bent/ beat up. I don't know what's going on with the left rear fender and running board. It has a 50-52 235. That's good if it runs. I know a 3-speed trans was standard for 3600's, but I haven't seen very many that weren't 4-speeds. Floors are shot. Priced pretty high for a fencerow truck without a title...

Are the innovative rear back up lights a premuim bumper upgrade?

I like the back up lights, but the trailer hitch is a bit sketchy.

The seller did not mention this in the ad, but I called him. He has a substantial advanced design truck collection that he is selling for another individual. Give him a call, he is selling whole, not parts.

Is a truck in that shape really worth $2.800 bucks?
I may have to reevaluate the price I have on the 48 Chalkboard.

What would one in that shape be worth if it was road worthy?

No, it’s not Don. He’s dreaming.

Take the 2 off the price and you'd be close to what it's really worth and that might be on the high side at $850. It's nothing more than a pile of rusty/damaged parts...every piece needs attention AND there's no title! That kind of asking price should get you a running truck WITH a title.

It looks to be too far gone unless of course money is no object and you want to save the few usable parts and transplant them onto virtually all new sheet metal. Wonder if the frame is as bad as well?

Don, your black 48 3/4-ton is still a good looking old truck. The chrome grille looks great!

Don your truck is in good shape compared to many I've seen. Clean it up as much as you wish and put it on Ebay. I cannot remember what we discussed at the show but I'd put a reserve of $2850 on it and see what happens? BTW , sent you a PM on a different subject........

Ronnie
I priced it at $2,000 at the show and will stay at that price for any Stovebolter that sees this.

Guess I need to post it in the Trucks for sale area.
