Any Idea im putting in wiper base that goes through the cowl but how do i separate the arms that go under the dash and the top that goes out side is it that one tiny flat head set screw?
I have installed many wiper vacuum motors, transmission arms, wiper arms/blades, and on/off switches on 47-53 trucks and I have no idea what you are referring to with "wiper base", "arms", and "tiny flat head screw".
If you could break down your questions into each component, and describe what each piece does, looks like, and where it is located, it will be easier to assist you.
Sorry that was a terrible explanation. ok the out side chrome piece that the actual wiper arms attach to it has the linkage hooked up to it that connects to the wiper motor. How do i separate the linkage to the outside chrome base?
It is not easy to do. Some careful grinding with a Dremmel. Once you have it apart, you will need to weld it back together.
What is your reason for taking it apart?
Ok reason for my stupidity was not paying much attention at all I grabbed the wiper tops and linkage for my 49 chevy styleline I happen to really take the time to look at it today But thank you for helping Carl
Glad I could help you to regain full consciousness.
