The Rocky Mountain Bolters
Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah, and Montana for starters ... all the way up into British Columbia, Canada (the BC Bolters have their own side lot already). All those mountains, trenches, river valleys, and some beautiful country -- gotta be some good Bolters in them there hills.
So mosey on in and see who your Bolt Brothers, Sisters, and Cousins just might be. Might need to borrow a wrench, winch, or engine -- or need some serious counseling as you contemplate getting another Bolt for your harem.
Share some of the good times and stories. Truck-related -- sure. Not truck-related -- sure!

His name was Stovebolt Sam and they say he wanted to be a Rocky Mountain Bolter. Story goes he was a man of proper wit and adventurous spirit, suited to the straight six and foot starter. Nobody knows whereabouts he come from and don't seem to matter much. He was not a young man, and had ghostly stories about the trails he blazed to find truck parts. He was looking for a rare Advance Design GMC. He'd settled for a Task Force Chevy. He bought himself a good flat bed, straps and chains, and a monster COE that could handle the mountain roads.
He said good-bye to whatever life was down there on the four-lane and started his hunt for the Rocky Mountain Bolters.
This may sound like Jeremiah Johnson, but it ain't. |
