Hi gang,
I have a 1957 Chevy stock 3100 truck. I replaced the turn signal switch when I did the restoration a few years ago. To this day I still have an issue with the turn siginal switch assembly. When I am making a right or left turn the switch will not stay in the down or up position. I have to hold the little chrome arm to make the switch work. Is there just an issue of adjusting the switch or am I victum of the Chines aftermarket junk that is out there?

Thank you for any help!

hi Jon, wondering where you were grin could be the switch is the problem, but more likely some of the rest of the mechanism is worn - see here and following 2 pics, the cancelling cam is probably missing springs or has worn out pawls or something is out of place, take off the steering wheel and watch how it all moves

Hi Bill,
Yes been away from Stovebolt now that the truck is pretty much done. I will take another look at the switch. I hope it is a simple fix.

Did you hear about all those Chevy's in Nebraska up for auction this weekend??

Thank you!
