Hey guys this is my first post. I haven't found a solution to this yet. I have a 55 first series pickup with the stock 3 speed and 235. I have dual Fenton carbs setup on the 235. Here's my question. What have you guys done for power brakes on the 3speed. Firewall mounting isnt really and option since I have the Fenton. I'm running disc brakes up front and plan on putting discs on my 70 Camaro rear end. Any help would be appreciated

On my '48, the booster is mounted on the frame under the floor on the driver's side. I have four wheel power disc brakes.

Did you have any issues with the clutch linkage? I just don't wanna drop cash on something that wouldn't fit . A lot of the booster/cylinder/ pedal assemblies I've been looking at say for auto trans only

I did not. I'll try to get under the truck tomorrow and get the brand. (It's been a while. I don't recall all the details.)

I'm running the Performance On Line kit in my '54 burb with 3 speed overdrive. No problems with clutch linkage or tranny clearance. I did run into some other problems though.

What kind of problems? I crawled unde rthe truck yesterday and it looks like i can move about 6 inches back from the original M/C and that would clear everything

On my '55 2nd series with a stock 235 and 3 speed manual trans I used an ECI power front disc brake setup with my stock rear drums. Double 8" booster pushed the new dual master cylinder back so I had to cut a new access hole in my floor. I then put my bench seat on hinges to make it easier to access the cover. Yes, the stock 235 generates enough vacuum to service the booster. I probably did not need the booster but it now stops like my wife's BMW. Photos are at www.picturetrail.com/motthollow.

Good job guys. Great work. I feel more confident now that others have made it work
