I'm putting a 42 on a s10. I need to lengthen the steering column about 9 inches .Any ideas or thoughts on how to do this?

Which steering column; the 42 or the S10?

The column or the shaft to tie the column to the box?

It's the s10 column and it doesn't really matter to me how I get the length as long as it will be safe as my daughter will one day be driving it.

You need an intermediate shaft that goes between the S-10 column and the S-10 steering box. Either the S-10 unit or one from an Astro Van work well.
