I've seen 5 window cabs on 47 AD trucks. Take a look in the gallery.

Deluxe option, from what I've read here on the forum was available on 3 window or 5 window cabs.

Hopefully someone will be alone to confirm what year the deluxe option was started

Exception may have been during Korea era.

I own a 1947 3 window 1/2 ton now. I am buying a 1949 5 window later this week. I guess if a 1947 5 window exists i will keep searching for the one

As posted above, a 5-window can was available as an option in all Advance-Design and GMC New Design years. In some years, the 5-window cab was available without being part of a "deluxe cab" option.

I you are picky about cab details, I think the 47 and 48 cabs had a slightly different firewall compared to later years. Also, you probably know that the early cabs did not have an opening for an in-cab fuel tank.

I thought the 5 windows were an option on their own, and deluxe was a trim package.

In 1947, RPO-387 was the Rear-Corner Windows (only) option, and RPO-390 was the De Luxe Cab and Equipment Option which included the rear-corner windows.

Which year are you referring to? As posted above, there were differences, depending on the year.

I thought the deluxe option was the corner windows. I was unaware there was also a deluxe trim package. Glad to have you guys around.
