Hi all, I am restoring my 1929 Chevy steering wheel. there is one segment missing. Can anyone tell what kind of wood it is? Looks like maple.
Thanks
Jim

Wish I could help you, but don't really know. Hope someone here can. Really just wanted to compliment you on your restoration. Alway impressive when a restorer utilizes the skill and the effort it takes to restore wooden bodys. Great work.

Hej,

When I restored my 1928 GMC T-19 the steering wheel was made out of #1 grade white ash.I would send you pictures but I sold the truck two years ago. Hope it helps

Thank you for your kind words. Having a great time figuring out how to fabricate all the odd ball stuff.
