Made some progress on the kubota, I've changed the oil, printed out the manuals and ordered a fuel filter that cost as much as the engine.... when it comes in I'll see if it runs, all appears that it will.

Grigg, tell us slackers that didn't make the trip a little more about this motor it sounds like you came home with. What are your plans for it?
Sweet, you have my vote for being pardoned. Plus I plan on helping your counsel drink his fee!
Sounds like you all had a good time.

Billy (and other slackers)
It's a little single cylinder Kubota 0.3L diesel from a highway sign trailer, it had an alternator to charge the batteries.

I want to find a little air compressor for it to have as a backup air source for my truck. Or it'll run an alternator to run an AC unit in the truck cap/camper on my 1 ton if I ever get a chance to build one.

Ka yoot!

For a compressor -- would the unit we took off the 470's 302 work for you?

I've got the perfect sleeper for Handsome smile

Humm, it could work. Is it air cooled or water cooled?

The sleeper is air cooled.

The compressor looks like it's water cooled...

Ideally I'll find an air cooled and self oiling compressor so I don't have to tap into the engine for that. They are available either from Bendix as a truck compressor or a small shop type air compressor.

Sleeper, I have the perfect truck for it right here in my garage. A similar green GMC to what it came from, it'll be a really sweet truck.
