Yeah, I can see traffic lights being a problem - especially abroad where they don't have a set across the street.
The plan is to keep it pretty stock although not go too mad on restoring as I need it to work for me so don't want it to get to a stage where I daren't throw stuff in the back or take it out in weather. I'd eventually like to put it on autogas to make it more usable. I've been spoiled of late with my VW T4 returning around 30mpg.
I was writing for Street Machine but had a bit of a do with Richard Nichols when he used a feature I had written word for word and said that he had had to re -write it even though he had not even contacted the owner. I was talking to Kev Elliot while having his diner at mine about it and he invited me to write for CC instead.
Keith is a nice bloke and knowledgeable too. Sometimes I would have to contact other writers about stuff and used to talk on email to Keith Harman a lot. I was playing a gig in London last year and got talking to a bloke after the show and the conversation turned to hot rods some how and it turned out it was Keith. We had never met up until this point so didn't realize who each other were. Small world.
