On the front suspension, more springs in the pack, heavier axle forging, larger spindles, larger king pins. For the frame, besides the extra length, there's 1 less crossmember (1 ton doesn't have the shock crossmember), the frame is made from a slightly thicker metal, and the side rail channels are deeper.
