Any suggestions for the best quality parts for my 49 3100. Any made in the USA parts companies out there? If not which is the best parts/reproduction/company available. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Most all parts are made in China. Most vendors carry the same stuff. Some vendors carry stuff others don't carry. If you are having trouble finding a part check with the old guys here on the Bolt, they'll tell you where to go...
You can buy a new bed from Mar-K made in Okie City.

I've bought a few parts from chevsofthe40s.com, and have been happy with the quality. Several things that I've gotten from them were made in USA. They carry parts for 37-54 Chevy trucks and cars, and their catalog is about an inch thick(unlike some lesser vendors little magazines).

Steele or Metro for USA rubber. Someone can verify if Dynacom parts are USA made, they are the one that offers a complete AD body. All are several times as much as the foreign junk but it seems you're one that quality trumps price. Good luck

there is jim carter, chevs of the 40s, egge machine, kanter auto products, patricks, langdons stovebolt, of course napa and schucks/O'reilleys. Between these I have been able to find nearly anything I have needed, The made in usa dream is a really nice one however non-realistic it may be,

FYI - Greater than 50% of the value of a product must be made in the USA to be called Made in the USA. So you can take Chinese parts add some labor to them, some fancy packaging, some shipping cartons (both inner cartons and outer cartons) and they are now Made in the USA.

Theres nothing wrong with Chinese part suppliers. If speced properly they make high quality parts.

The reproduced AD bodies are made in Taiwan as are the Camaro bodies.

While building my 55 2nd series I ordred from all of them. All were good to deal with.I guess by living in Ohio, that Chevy Duty was my favorite, cause the shipping time was quicker.
