I need help in finding the following part. It is the guide that holds the door window channel on the back of the door. Please see picture. I think I've seen them on a vendors site but can find now. One was broken when removed. Thank you for your help, Scott http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/49chevyia/IMG_1458.jpg

These channel guides are for 51-54 but you may find them here for your 49. I think the earlier models had window guidies that are wider. http://www.classicparts.com/Door-Rubber/products/4/also try JimCarter or American Classic

Nice truck. What side are you looking for?

I'm not completely sure. I think it is the driver's side. I'll have to look closer when I get back in town.
Thx for the kind words. It's almost done except for the interior overhead and the door windows. I quess it's time I put something in the gallery.

I could only find these guides used. Jim Carter said they were working on reproducing them but don't have them yet. The front rails are the opposite sides rear. Hence, the front driver side is the passenger sides rear. And vice versa.
They seem to rust out just above the block that is spot welded to the front of the door. And the drivers side seems to be the worst of the two to do this.
I hope this helps

I know I would rather have a good used US made one then an asian made part, kinda goes for almost all parts.
