Advance Design Era 1947-1955

Chevrolet introduced its all new post war "advance Design" trucks in the middle of the 1947 calendar year. In fact, Both the earlier and newer style trucks were built simultaneously for a short two month period as these trucks were being introduced. The overlapping production occurred because with the extreme demand for new trucks, GM didn't want any lag in production. The Advance Design series represented the first completely restyled post war car or truck offering from any of the Big Three (GM, Ford and Chrysler).....To the public, Chevrolet's Advance Design models, Particularly those built between 1947 and 1953, are coming to represent the classic old truck. Chevrolet's Advance Design series have become among the most sought after collector trucks. (How to Restore your Cherolet Pickup- Tom Brownell Pg 10-11)

I hate when people leave their brains at home. Seriously when did critical thinking and customer service go out the window? How about common sense and striving to go the extra mile? Idiots, surrounded by idiots it tell you.

Will, spot the 'typo'! OOOPS!
'scuse the 'sun-roof too.'
I never realised I was so bald 'til I saw this pic..... cry

It's a fact that some folks say 'Advanced' rather than the correct 'Advance'.
It's a common mistake. That's MY excuse anyway...... grin

That truck looks real good to me. I love the green color and guys would give their right arm to have it just right like that. Get that motor compartment all renewed and a little metal work in side and you got yourself a perfect truck. thumbs_up

Silverado_9c3,

All 4 hubcaps are not the same. I dont think you are aware of that and would be better off purchasing a complete set.
