What size wheel rims were offered on half ton 1951 chevy pickup trucks? Mine has 4 speed manual transmission,.
If both 15 & 16 were offered, which was the more common one?
If there is anything in writing such as from a tech manual, I would appreciate knowing about it because the import authorities may challenge me on the wheel rim size. Thankyou for your time,
Jerry Whitfield. You may also answer to my email: wwhitfield@triad.rr.com

Here's the shop manual page with the tire info. It does look like both sizes were used on 1/2 ton, but from what I've seen, 16" was the common size.
Just out of curiosity, where are you getting the truck from that import authority people need to be involved?

The wheels available from the factory for all sizes of 1951 Chevrolet trucks are shown on this page.

- The 216 and early 235 engine are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler.

I have an original truck salesman data book for 1952 published in 1951. I can look up any info for any model, even school bus.

What model exactly are you asking about? Be very specific.
You would not believe how many different models there are. Cutout cabs, ambulances, no bed, etc, etc.

I can even tell you the price for alot of the vehicles, written in the back in pencil.
