Yes, your link di work, but I would have put in an older style CD player so you di not get the light show like what's on the newer one's. Just my $0.02 though. Looks great though! How di you manage to fit that in there? Did you have to move arund anything under the dash?
I wish the PO on my truck had done this, but NOOOOOOO, he decided to take a tin snips and just cut a hole in the dash for his radio to fit. I have the old part of the dash before I put the replacement in as a souvenir.
Someone recently asked about modifying an old radio to get FM in their truck, and I remembered this old post. I just discovered the picture links are dead, so here are the pictures. I used a stereo with knobs, probably '80's vintage. Pull the potentiometers out of the chassis. Modify the radio delete panel. I ran it this way for years. The original radio is big, so there is plenty of room behind the dash.
Modern radios usually look like a JC Whitney blob dropped in the middle of the dash. We "French" a mount plate for the exact radio used and it gives a much smoother look. Many customers have chose this option but it needs done before dash is finished/painted.
