Aloha ,Hope all is well with everyone...
had my hopes up Today about a call I got. This very nice lady called me to say she had what she thought was an old chevy truck from the thirties or forties. When I got there it turned out to be an old "DODGE"!!It is a cool old truck.Wish i hadn't left my camera in my s-10 blazer.I want to go back and get some pictures...Help me!! I'm going crazy!!Sound off!! Should I go for it while I'm looking for an old Chevy or come to my senses and run from it?I'm going to look at an old military truck (they are not sure what make it is.Maybe a Chevy from the forties?) on Wed.It's supposed to be bigger than a pickup but smaller than deuce and a half according to owner.LOL
I haven't had this much fun in quite a while.I think my youngest is starting to think I've lost my mind though...

No Jeff, you have not lossed your mind and hopefully your youngest will catch the Stovebolt bug and join us and have some fun. I think he needs his own Bolt,Then maybe he will feel he fits in. I don't know how old he is but we're waiting for him. He is our Stovebolt future. Aloha!

Don't worry Jeff things will come around . If it's old military it's a good chance it will be a GMC truck . Sorry to say this but I just bought a '48 Chevy 1 1/2 ton w/dump . It was hiding out 4 blocks from my shop and I didn't know it was there. Hope to get it with "TOTO" this weekend cause it needs a fuel pump and coil . If I do I'll post pictures for you to drool over in the Big Bolt forum . Good Luck in the search . ED H

Hey Jeff,

I think that they are all cool, so go ahead, and take some pics of that Dodge. But, I vote that you hold out for a GM.

IMHO, I believe that you will discover, GM truck parts are more plentiful, and the trucks are easier to work on because a lot of the parts are more interchangeable over a wider variety of years than the other makes.

But most important of all, there is no better source for information on old trucks than the Stovebolt Page.

Hang in there, I believe that the right GM truck will come your way.

Be patient

John

PS: If you get any pics of that Dodge, I would appreciate if you would send me a couple so I can ad them to my collection. grin

Yeah Jeff, I think John said it all right there. I'm not very familiar with that wonderful island state you call home, but there's got to be some old stovebolts hiding out someplace. It's hard to be patient but... I feel for ya. Hang in there.
