Been doing a bit of rust management on the ‘62 C-10 this week. Just hitting the surface rust spots with a rattle can spray of primer. Found a can of Safety Blue and did a little coverup on the front facing sheet metal. Hoping to hold the rust mites at bay while I save up for a proper paint job. Off to the “Oklahoma Stovebolt GabFest” in a couple of hours. It’ll be fun meeting some new Bolters and catching up with the familiar faces. Watch for photos in the “Hot Wash Forum”.

Installed my horn bushing in the steering column on my 37. Took all day as I spent half the time thinking about it. Tried to push the bushing in with steering wheel nut but that didn't work out. Finally pulled the entire steering column with gear box and used a threaded rod to push in bushing. Installed steering wheel and new horn button and moved outside column down a little bit to get contact when button was pushed. Glad that job is done.

I got the 235 reassembled this weekend and the crank drilled/tapped for harmonic balancer. Also first coat of paint!

I had no post tapped photo- there it is drilled. I used the 12bolt fixture, drill and tap. Went easier than expected.

Last coat sprayed tonight. Good enough for a driver. Happy with the results.

New distributor, new coil, and a new starter. She runs really well. Time to tackle gauges. My lights and signals and brake light all work, no gauges work, or wipers.
