It is nice to have a place to go where they talk about old chavy trucks. I have a 1950 chevy pickup and I have some questions about it, which I hope you folks can answer. I wish there were an old pickup club in my area, but there doesn't seem to be. Thanks again
Where the question marks are, I have no clue what you want, and the UBB code really has me in a twister. What is that stuff for?

I didn't want anything. I just got on here to say Hi, I didn't need to have my butt chewed out. I have no clue what you want from me, and I have no idea what a UBB code is and I don't know much about computers, so excuse me for not knowing all the crap. Thanks again, so long!

I have no idea - someone must have sent him a scolding via PM...

Naa... I don't think it was anything that we said or done, To come out of the gate like that is just weird even if someone did scold him on a PM that's still is no reason to get all butt hurt and flip out on everyone, Hopefully he can find another place to go where they talk about old "chavy trucks" (See Signature below)

On 6/22/08 I sent a message saying that I was glad to finally meet some guys that I could talk chevy trucks with and get some questions answered. I got this reply back,
Where the question marks are, I have no clue what you want, and the UBB code really has me in a twister. What is that stuff for?
If I ticked anyone off by my reply, I am very sorry and I apologize, I have somewhat of a short fuze, and i'm working on that believe me, I am. I just have no idea what that reply ment. I guess I just don't know how to post. If someone could explain that reply, or tell me how to post the right way, I would be very greatful and try to be a better Bolter. Again I apologize for my rudeness, I am also learning how to do that. I really want to be a part of Stovebolt, Thank you. Have a good day! 50 Bowtie Pickup

Aha - I see why you were a little put off. I don't think anyone is angry about your response - especially hearing the explanation for it. I guess someone wanted technical help from you. It must have been confusing for you.(it was for us) It's best for technical questions like that to be made in the IT Short Bus section - not to a new guy who is unfamiliar with the site, too. Anyway, we are all learning here - that's what this site is all about. Good to see you back on the 'bolt.

Perhaps the quote above is a clue. This looks like perhaps something from where you filled out the Profile Sheet when you joined. This is just a guess as I do not know who or how you would have gotten that message.
That said lets move forward. Welcome to the Bolt. This is a good place. We all have our "temperaments" but somehow we all find a way to live and get along. Around here we all share one big fact, WE ALL LOVE BIG TRUCKS.......oh, I might mention that around here typing in ALL CAPITALS like I just did is considered "hollering or yelling". But don't worry. We all do it from time to time and hey, I'm still learning how to use all the functions available here. The BEST thing to do is ask questions. No question here is considered stupid.

If someone is having trouble understanding you it is also good to get you point across(CAPS).

Now things seem to be a bit clearer..... Welcome to the Bolt! 50Bowtie. Re; your comment about an old pick-up club on your original posting.... You've joined the Best! 'Chill out' and enjoy! I was a "newbie" to the computer when I first joined the 'Bolt. I've not only learned a lot about my truck, but also my computer too! Jock.

I have read this three times and have no idea where this went off the tracks... regardless welcome to the site... read, enjoy and hang out all you want... believe me, nobody wants anything more from you here than to simply participate! Welcome 50 Bowtie Pickup, Looks like I'll have to be fighting you for those AD truck parts going round the show if you're going to be at the AACA Hershey Fall Swapmeet in October.
It's just that I have to travel a bit further to get to this event than you need to.
Welcome once again, Stuart.

You can communicate with an individual by clicking on their name. Then, from the drop down menu, select "Send PM". The window will look like a regular posting window, except only you and the other person/people included can read the message(s). To read a PM - you must either select my stuff > my messages, or click on the envelope flashing next to "my stuff".

Hi Achipmunk, Thanks for your response, I checked and I think that note was from the geek who didn't understand the way I filled out my profile. I filled out everything that I understood, maybe i'll get the rest as I go along. Thanks for pointing that out, now I understand why I got that note. I hope you get this email, I think I pushed the right putton. I also don't know whether this just goes to you or everyone,What ever. Thanks again Achipmunk, hope you have a nice 4th. It's raining on my hot dogs. Bob Vanatta 50BowtiePickup

50Bowtiepickup: Glad we could get it figured out. It may take a little while to get use to the "how to's" but after a spell it will become easy and you'll do it automatically. Thanks for hanging in there and...yes, I had a good 4th.
